Nashville, Tennessee is serviced by Nashville International Airport (BNA). Within Music City, as it’s called, public transportation is plentiful. Many visitors take advantage of the inexpensive, all-day MTA bus passes and the free downtown buses, called the Music City Circuit. Downtown is walkable, and there’s lots of public parking if you plan to drive.
Equally rich in musical history, Memphis is about 210 miles west of Nashville. There are no direct flights and limited bus options, so rent a car for this trip. In the city, you can walk to the downtown attractions including Beale Street, or use the city’s inexpensive MATA public transportation options. Big city and international flight hub Atlanta, Georgia is just 4 hours from Nashville and 6 hours from Memphis.
